Bogie of Quetta-bound Bolan Mail ‘partially damaged’ after Sibi track explosion: official – Pakistan

A Bogie of a Bolan mail train to Quetta was “partially damaged” Thursday after an explosion hit a railway in the Sibi district of Baluchistan, authorities said.

The 3up train usually leaves the city of the city of Karachi during the day and arrives the next day to Quetta, with more than 20 stops on the road, according to the Pakistan Railways website.

“The railway between the areas of Bakhtiarabad and Damboli was flown with explosives, which resulted in the Bolan mail that is directed from Karachi to Quetta was beaten,” said the master of the Murtaza station to journalists in Sibi.

He added that Bogie No. 7 of the train was “partially damaged” in the incident. The train arrived at the Sibi railway station safely, he confirmed.

A statement by Muhammad Kashif, Public Relations officer of the Quetta Railway Division Superintendent, said: “They informed us that an explosion occurred on the road of km No. 200 between Damboli and Dargra while train 3up passed.

“However, the train passed safely and now reaches Sibi. The 40UP train has been controlled in DMJJ (Dera Station Jamali) as a precautionary measure.

With an increase in terrorist attacks in recent years, Baluchistan has seen a series of incidents when the train tracks were exploited, pointing to the transport infrastructure of the province.

The trains between Quetta and the rest of the country were restored on March 27, after they were suspended due to the unprecedented kidnapping of the Jaffar Express to Peshawar earlier that month.

The train, which was traveling from Quetta to Peshawar and transported 440 passengers, was kidnapped near the Baluchistan Sibi area on March 11, which resulted in the death of 21 passengers and four security personnel. “The 33 terrorists” were neutralized during the two -day authorization operation, the military said.

In June, a powerful explosion of a remotely installed controlled explosive device in railroad roads caused four Bogies of the Express Jaffer to derail in Jacobabad. No one was injured in the incident.

In April, Train 3up stopped at the Jacobabad train station due to security reasons.
