Body set up to address Gwadar’s chronic water, power issues – Pakistan

Quetta: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been a committee of 13 members, which is expected to meet tomorrow (Friday), to find permanent solutions for power cuts and the shortage of water that affects Gwadar.

According to a notification, the Committee has been forced to discuss water and energy problems and submit its report immediately after the meeting for the consideration and decision of the Prime Minister.

It has been responsible for proposing an immediate solution, implemeable within four to five days, since the uninterrupted water supply to the city of Gwadar from the 7.5 mgd water supply scheme such as the seawater desalination plant of 1.2 mgd, as well as a half -period solution, will be implemented within four to five months, for the supply of energy not interrogated Gwadar

Both plans must clearly assign responsibilities to ministers and execute agencies with fixed deadlines.

The Committee is composed of the Federal Minister of Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Baluchistan Prime of Quetta’s electricity supply, former executive secretary of Ceó Ceologic de Gwadar, authority of the Quetta supply company, former Cheem Cheem secretary of Sawadar. Sukhera
