Lucknow: In a great advance, an active terrorist of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and Module backed by ISI, Lajar MasihHe was arrested in a joint operation by the special task force of Uttar Pradesh (STF UP) and the Punjab police.
The operation took place around 3:20 am in the Kokhraj Police Station area of the Kaushambi district.
Additional DG, Amitabh Yash told Toi that Masih, a resident of the Kurlian village, Amritsar, Punjab, is supposedly linked to Swarn Singh Alias Jeevan Fauji, head of the German BKI module and was also in direct contact with the ISI operations based in Pakistan.
During the operation, the STF UP recovered an illegal explosives and weapons, including three active hand grenades. Two active detonators. A Norinco Tokarev gun of foreign manufacturing (7.62 mm). Thirteen cartridges (7.62×25 mm) of foreign brand. White explosive powder. A AADHAAR card with a ghaziabad address. A mobile phone without SIM card
Stf said Masih had escaped from judicial custody in Punjab on September 24, 2024.
