BJP plans ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ for minority festivities, opposition calls it poll gimmick | India News


New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party plans to launch the “SAUGAT-E-MODI“Campaign to distribute special kits to Muslims and other minorities during festive seasons, and the opposition calls the initiative a surveyed trick.
The minority moca of the party, as part of the campaign, will collaborate with the mosques to reach people in need throughout the country.
Through the program, which will begin from Nizamuddin in Delhi on Tuesday, the ruling party aims to distribute 32 LAKH kits of disadvantaged Muslims throughout the country ahead of EID. For the scheme, 32,000 minority spell workers will collaborate with 32,000 mosques throughout the country.

Eid Milan celebrations will also be organized at the district level, he added.
As part of the initiative, the kits will be distributed that contain essential items such as food supplies, vermicelli, dates, dried fruits and sugar. In addition, the kits will include clothing, with women packages that offer fabric for costumes and kits for men with Kurta-Pyjamas. It is estimated that each kit will cost between RS 500 and RS 600, reported that the news agency cited Fuentes.
With the announcement of the scheme, the policy was heated when the opposition accused the BJP of interpreting political tricks before the elections in Bihar, where Muslims constitute around 16-17% of the total state electorate and are particularly influential in districts such as Kishanganj, Aria, Katihar, the appearance region and parts of the center of Bihar.
“You will see that there is a choice in Bihar, they are not giving ‘Saugat’ kits, but asking for votes through it. If they had the desire to give ‘SAUGAT’ in Bihar, then they should have given the work to stop the migration of Bihar,” MP of Congress Ranjeet Rajan The PTI news agency said.
The Allied of Nda and the Minister of the Chiag Paswan Union, however, supported the BJP initiative by calling it the result of Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ idea.
“My Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji believes in ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. With this thought, the central government and the Bihar government are working towards development,” said Paswan.
Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is currently Minister of MSME in the Modi cabinet, said: “The prime minister works in favor of all Indians, regardless of religion, caste.
