How the North Carolina Football coach, Bill Belichick, 73, met his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 24, can be a fair question given Belichick’s fame as the most winning chief coach of the Super Bowl.
But before I could answer during an interview with “CBS Mornings” that was broadcast on Sunday, Hudson interrupted from a seat out of the camera: “We are not talking about this,” he said.
Belichick, who directed the New England patriots six Super Bowl championships, did not respond.
Belichick was interviewed by the CBS News correspondent, Tony Dokoupil, while promoting his next biography, “The Art of Winning: Lessons From My Life in Football”, which is scheduled to be launched on May 6.
The segment showed Hudson standing near the conversation.
“Jordon was a constant presence during our interview,” Dakoupil said about the video and the sound of his speech from the bank.
He asked Belichick how he handles interest in the relationship.
“Never worry about what someone else thinks,” said Belichick.
“How did they meet?” Dokoupil asked.
The video cut a camera that captured the back of Belichick and Hudson sitting on a desktop in the background. “We are not talking about this,” he said.
“No?” Said Dokoupil.
“No,” she replied.
Belichick not immediately a request for comments through the University of North Carolina.
The exchange illuminated the sports media, with some experts questioning Hudson’s influence on a man almost 50 years that she is older.
NBC Sports reported that Hudson has “a very active role” in Belichick’s professional life and is “exercising a high degree of influence.”
The CBS interview continued after Hudson’s interjection. He went to the use of social networks by Belichick, including his Instagram photos and Hudson in couples’ style poses on a beach.
“I am in some of those social networks platforms,” he said, “but I honestly follow them.”
Dokoupil asked Belichick about the lack of a mention of the book for the owner of Patriots Robert Kraft, despite his very successful time in Boston.
The two separated last year, which led Belichick to university football for the first time as a chief coach, with a five -year contract with the Tar Heels.
“Do you feel that they treated you with dignity and respect when Robert Kraft let him go?” Dokoupil asked.
“Yes, well, it was a mutual decision for us to separate,” Belichick replied.
Dokoupil said Kraft had used the word “triggered.” Belichick remained quickly, repeating the term “mutual decision.”
