Bilawal maintains party helm as PPP holds intra-party elections – Pakistan

The president of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, was re-elected to his office for another four years, since the match held elections within the match on Saturday.

According to a publication in the X PPP account, the party held the elections in its central secretariat in Islamabad, where Bilawal maintained his position as president.

“According to the constitution of the party, the following officers have been elected for a period of four years,” said the post, listing Bilawal as president, Humayun Khan as general secretary, Nadem Afzal Chan as secretary of Information and Amna Piracha as Secretary of Finance.

According to Bilawal House Media Kashif Hussain spokesman, the results of the elections were announced by the Central PPP election call, Fawzia Habib.

“A Board is constituted to carry out the elections,” said Hussain Dawn.com. “The Electoral Board was announced some time ago and the electoral process was carried out under Fawzia Habib, Central Coordinator of the Popular Party of Pakistan.”

Bilawal was last re -elected to the office in January 2021 for a period of four years without having any contest.

The intraparticle elections at the federal level were held in Karachi on January 6, 2021, “in accordance with the constitution of the PPP and the 2017 Country Election Law.”

Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari had been elected without opposition as the general secretary of the PPP, Faisal Karim Kundi as Information Secretary and Rukhsana Bungash as Finance Secretary.
