Karachi: averages to continue fighting for the legitimate participation of Water Sindh, the president of the PPP, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, demanded on Friday a fair distribution of water between the provinces under the 1991 water agreement.
Referring to the concerns and reserves of the province about the construction of six channels in the Indo River, he said that PPP did not oppose the project for the good of the opposition. “We want sterile lands flourish, but the distribution of water must be based on the 1991 agreement,” he said.
When addressing the inauguration ceremony for a digital employment platform, the president of the PPP recalled that the water problem had persisted under successive federal governments and the PPP leaders had historically resisted unjust allocations.
He said that a clear position had been taken in the National Assembly on the issue of the new proposed channels.
Mr. Bhutto-Zardari began his speech condemning the terrorist attack of March 11 against Jaffar Express in Baluchistan, greeting the courage of the Armed Forces to carry out a successful rescue operation and a decisive action against the militants.
“Performing an operation on such a difficult field was very challenging, but our forces demonstrated remarkable courage,” he said.
The president of the PPP appreciated the agents of the law for their rapid action against terrorists, saying that he had thought he would take a long time to rescue the hostages.
The MNA acknowledged the demand for the job of jobs and announced the launch of the digital employment platform, ‘Work for Sindh’. The initiative aims to connect employment applicants with potential employers, promoting an association between the government and the private sector.
He welcomed the government’s economic measures, emphasizing that economic stability requires both inflation control and increased production.
He reiterated PPP’s commitment to provide employment opportunities, particularly through collaboration with the private sector.
“The Sindh government is playing its role in job creation, but the private sector must also take a step forward to benefit from the talent of the province,” he emphasized.
Prime Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in his speech said the government had provided jobs through four different currents, and this portal would serve as a bridge between employment applicants and employers.
He announced that the provincial government would announce its work openings on the platform, ensuring a fair recruitment process based on merit.
Shah revealed that the Public Service Commission of Sindh and the Ibkur’s employment listings would also be integrated into the portal.
“This initiative will bring transparency to the hiring system, making work opportunities more accessible to young people,” he added.
The CM also invited private sector companies to use the portal for their hiring needs. “Private sector employers must list their vacancies here to expand job opportunities,” he said.
The main minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon said that 65 percent of the population of Pakistan consists of young people, so the Sindh government had introduced the job portal. He said that educated and qualified people through this application could raise their CV and find jobs that coincide with their skills.
