The Superior Court of Baluchistan (BHC) allowed Tuesday that the imprisoned rights activist, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, met with his relatives after the National Party of Baluchistan, Mengal, celebrated attacks and issued a call to support the recent protests of the Baloch Jakjehti Committee (Byc) against a police dust and arrests of their leaders.

The situation intensified even more when the byc chief organizer Mahrang was arrested in the early hours of Saturday and was reserved under terrorist positions along with another 150. A BHC of two members that comprises Judges Rozi Khan Barrech and Shaukat Ali Rakhshani presided over a hearing today in a request from Mahrang’s sister, Nadia Baloch, against imprisonment and mentioning several officials and state authorities as respondents.
The lawyer of the Imran Baloch petitioner asked the Court to issue a directive to the government to provide details of the cases against Mahrang.

“Surveillance cameras have been installed directly in front of their cell and bathroom, and is subject to constant 24 -hour monitoring. It has no privacy, even in personal matters and has reported that their clothing options are also observed.
“The food provided is extremely antihigienic, and we fear that it is contaminated. As a result, both Mahrang and Bebo have become ill. Despite this, they are not being treated. They are not being treated as political prisoners and denied the basic rights,” Nadia claimed.
He appealed the appeal to the legal fraternity and the human rights organizations of Quetta to take immediate measures to guarantee the security of Mahrang and Bebo and a fair judgment.
Meanwhile, all companies, banks, stores and gasoline bombs in Gwadar closed to protest against the arrests and cases registered against all the BYC leaders, including Dr. Mahrang, Bebo Baloch and Sammi Deen Baloch.
Thw’s protest came a day after Karachi police stopped Sammi and several others during a protest against the recent arrests of BYC leadership and an offensive against his sitting Quetta.
A similar situation was witnessed in Ormara, a city 270 kilometers from Gwadar, where a complete closing strike of the Merchants Association was underway. The stores also closed in Pasni, another coastal city at 142 km from Gwadar.
Separately, the president of BNP-M, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, announced a long march on March 28 against the arrest of Byc leaders.
In a publication about X, Mengal said: “I announce a long march from Wadh to Quetta, against the arrest of our daughters and the desecration of our mothers and sisters.”
“I will direct this March and invite all the Baloch brothers and sisters, young and old, to join us in this March,” he added.
He also wrote: “This is not just about the arrest of our daughters, it is a matter of our national dignity, our honor and our own existence. We will not remain silent until our mothers, sisters and daughters are safe.”
The byc welcomed Mengal’s call, stating: “The announcement of the Baluchistan National Party of a long march is a commendable step, and we respect this decision.”
