Police looked for two alleged gunmen who fled to the Metro tunnels of the Belgian capital of Brussels after a shooting on Wednesday, prosecutors said.
The police closed several subway stations and interrupted the service in six lines, according to a post on X of Stib, the public transport service of Belgium.
The Belgian prosecutor said that they had not reported injured during the incident at the Clemenceau station in the center of Brussels, according to Reuters.
Sources close to the investigation said the incident could have been related to drugs.
