A Bangladesh court ordered the seizure of the Cricket Shakib player to Hasan in the last legal headache for the sports star on his loyalty to the former leader of the country.
Shakib is a former legislator of the former autocratic leader Sheikh Hasina, who was overthrown in a lifting led by students last year and fled by helicopter to neighboring India.
His links with Hasina made him a target of public anger and was among the dozens who faced murder investigations for a mortal offensive of the police against protesters during the lifting.
He has not been accused of these accusations, but is currently being prosecuted for fraud charges for supposedly bounces of checks for a total of more than $ 300,000.
A capital magistrate, Dhaka, ordered the seizure on Monday after the court issued a Shakib arrest warrant in January.
Shakib was playing in a national Twenty20 Cricket competition in Canada when the Hasina Government collapsed and has not returned to Bangladesh since then.
