A Winnipeg officer accused after a long police investigation unearthed the accusations that he trafficked illegal drugs, shared a photo of a dead woman and revealed that the confidential information will remain in custody after her bail audience was postponed on Monday.
Constant Elston Bosock, who has been with the Winnipeg police service for more than 20 years, was accused last week of criminal crimes, including the commission of indignity to human remains, the substances controlled by trafficking, the obstruction of justice and distributing to the intimate image.
The last positions occurred after Bosock was accused of several other crimes along with two other officers last year. Those charges against Bosock included breach of trust, theft below $ 5,000, being illegally in a house and obstruction of a police officer.
While the police released Bosock after his first arrest, they stopped him after his last August 6.
The case is scheduled to be in court again on August 25.
During Monday’s audience, Bosock sat in the prisoner box with a sweatshirt and gray crew neck pants and sometimes appeared to make visual contact with people sitting in the gallery, which was full of his capacity.
Those who attended included the Bosock Women’s family is accused of sharing an intimate photo of when he was found died in a house in May 2021. The police alleges that Bosock used his cell phone to take a photo, partially dressed, and then distributed the image to another officer.
Bosock was arrested months later, in November 2024, and released in a company. Police continued their investigation with an order to find their phone and home, police said last week.
That investigation found five new incidents and led 10 more positions against him, police said. The latest accusations against Bosock are related to service and off incidents that date back to 2016.

The investigators suspect that Bosock made around 84 illicit drug transactions between January 2016 and November 2024, police said previously. Supposedly trafficked drugs included cocaine, oxycodone and amphetamine.
Police said that cocaine and psilocybin were also seized from the Bosock locker at the Eastern District station, but added that there are no indications that drugs from Winnipeg police stores were obtained or that Bosock was involved in any highly organized drug trafficking.

After a 16 -month investigation, the Winnipeg police arrested a 22 -year -old force member for the second time. Constant Elston Bosock, who now faces 18 positions, is accused of drug trafficking and taking an intimate photo of a deceased woman.
He is also accused of obstructing justice when trying to obtain traffic tickets issued to other people annulled between February 2016 and August 2024.
Accusations against Bosock also include access to confidential police information on November 2 last year and deliver it to unauthorized persons.
Police said the information was provided to public members, and there is no criminal aspect to receive it, but refused to comment why it was shared.
The police also claim that Bosock stole ammunition and gave it to a friend three times after he attended several days of firearms training for a period of five years from September 2019.
Another officer, const. Vernon Strutinsky, a 15 -year -old force member, was also arrested last Wednesday, police said. Both he and Bosock are accused of breaking and entering extortion, as well as breach of trust, while they were associated.
Police say that they went to the block 300 of Mountain Avenue on March 16, 2023, on a marked and uniform cruise, and entered a house, where they evicted the residents of the unit without authorization on behalf of someone who Bosock knew.
Two other officers, const. Jonathan Kiazyk and const. Matthew Kadyniuk was also accused of breach of trust and other crimes along with Bosock in November.
Police said they do not anticipate exposing more criminal charges against Bosock, “except anything unforeseen that comes to light.”
The other three accused officers in the case were released from custody.
None of the accusations have been tested in the Court and the four officers is presumed innocent.
Bosock received the exemplary service award from the general governor’s police in 2024. A spokesman for the Office of the Secretary of the Governor General said that the prize was revoked on June 13, and that he is modifying his online list of honor winners to reflect the cancellation.
