KOCHI: An 11-month-old baby, who experienced discomfort for a international flightdied despite being rushed to a hospital on Tuesday after arriving at Cochin International Airport from Bahrain with his mother.
The infant, identified as Fezin Ahmed from Malappuram, received primary medical assistance during the flight and was rushed to a private hospital in Angamaly around 4am, but was declared dead on arrival.
The police visited the hospital and issued a no-objection certificate before handing over the body to the family members. The child had been facing medical complications since birth, police said.
