A solid and patience helped Félix Auger-Aliassime de Canada to win its second male tennis title of the season.
The Canadian second sown defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-2, 6-7 (7), 7-6 (2) to win the Open Open Tournament on Sunday in Montpellier, France. Auger-Aliassime, from Montreal, registered 19 Aces and also won 78 percent of his first portions in the final of the ATP 250 event, which lasted two hours 39 minutes.
“I think my service was huge today to stay in the game, stay close to him at the score and then do my best in the tiebreaker,” said Auger-Aliassime. “I lost one and won one, I’m glad I went to my way.”

Felix Auger-Aliassime collected his second victory of the season and the seventh race title by winning the open occitit.
But Augusto Aliassime also accredited Kovacevic’s service for allowing the American to return to the match in the second and third sets.
“Its quality of serving improved,” said the Canadian. “I felt on the first set … He went for shots that were not easy and did not make them so much.
“But in the second and third sets he began to do them. He did very well in the second and third sets, so I had to wait for my time when I could reverse that trend.”
And Auger-Aliassime said that that is where his patience and his mentality of concentrating on the here and now and not worrying about what had really happened.
“He had a bit of bad luck but he also attributed a great pass in the line when I had a game point on the second set,” he said. “I could have left easily, but it was not so, and that was when they really try you mentally.
“You have to try to concentrate on what you can control and try to respond to this challenge in the best possible way and not defeat yourself.”
Auger-Aliassime also became two rest points to win its second title of the season and seventh in general. The Canadian won the International Adelaide event in January and improved his 10-2 record this season.
