At least one person was killed in a bomb explosion while playing a Cricket game in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa District on Saturday, according to the police.
The Police officer of the District of Bajaur, Waqas Rafique, confirmed the incident to Dawn.com In the field of Khar Tehsil Cricket Kausar and said the explosion was carried out through an improvised explosive device.
“It seems to be an objective attack,” he added.
Last Saturday, two people, including a police officer, were injured after the terrorists attacked a police station in the Lowi Mamund Tehsil Laghari area through a Quadcopter.
The sources said that the police officer Mohammad Habib and the civilian Najeb Khan were injured in the attack, which also damaged a vehicle parked in the facilities.
Israr Khan, a public relations officer of the District Police, had told him Sunrise that the injured were immediately transferred to the Hospital of the District headquarters in Khar.
He also said that the terrorists launched another attack at the police station through a Quadcopter, but lost the goal.
No group attributed the responsibility of the attack. However, the police officers blamed the terrorists in the light of the Sarbakaf operation launched by the security forces against them a couple of weeks ago.
