At least one person died when a business plane crashed into another plane after landing at an airport in the United States on Monday, authorities said, the last in a series of mortal aviation accidents in the United States.
A person remained trapped inside one of the planes at Scottsdale airport in Arizona, and three others taken to the hospital.
The images of the scene showed that a plane seemed to have crashed into the rear of a larger plane, with hand emergency vehicles.
“A Learjet 35a deviated from the track after landing and crashed into a 200 200 Gulfstream commercial plane on the ramp at Scottsdale municipal airport in Arizona,” said a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA).
“We don’t know how many people were on board. FAA is temporarily stopping at the airport. “
Dave Folio, from the Scottsdale Fire Department, said the units were on the track trying to free a person.
“I can tell him that we have five souls, a dead upon arrival at the hospital, two immediate who have been transported to local trauma centers,” he told a press conference.
Another person whose condition described as stable was also taken to the hospital.
The accident was the last of a series of aviation tragedies that have shaken the United States.
