At least eight more people died and 13 were injured on Sunday in separate incidents related to rain in Karachi, some areas of Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan, according to rescue officials.
The rains of the monsoon, which fall throughout the region from June to September of each year, continue to open many parts of the country, which leads to the authorities to publish a warning of urban floods for several cities. According to rescue officials, at least 32 people have been killed in four provinces in the last two days, since heavy rains caused sudden floods and damaged houses. On Sunday, the 1122 rescue issued a statement that describes more deaths and injuries in LaHore as a result of rain -related incidents.
“Rescue 1122 received 10 emergency calls on the walls collapsed in different parts of the city,” said the statement. “A woman was killed and another 10 were seriously injured. They moved to different hospitals and received medical help in rescue emergency ambulances.”

He said Anwar tried to connect something to a wall outlet with rainwater when he suffered an electric shock and died. The SSP said the victim was dead with the cable in his hand when the police arrived.
The body was transferred to the Karachi Civil Hospital, where doctors confirmed the cause of death as an electric shock, police surgeon said Dr. Sumaiya Syed.

Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz ordered the Water and Alclass Authority (WASA) to remain on a complete alert in Lahore when heavy rains and strong winds began in several parts of the city.
The rain was recorded in Lakshmi Chowk, Qurtaba Chowk, Magang, Data Nagar, Islampura, Shahdara, Ek Moria, Bhati Gate, Baghbanpura and Gulshan Ravi.
The Punjab CM ordered the senior WASA officials to maintain all the main roads and underground steps, with pumps and personnel ready in all underground steps.
Instructions were issued to maintain all generators waiting with their guaranteed fuel supply, while the field teams received instructions to remain active.
It was recommended that the elimination stations are executed in generators in areas with power cuts, and the pumps of all elimination stations are kept clean and operational.

Glof warning issued in Gilgit
The GB Disaster Management Authority issued a warning of a higher risk of flooding of glacial lake (GLOF) and sudden floods.
“Due to the intense heat and the western weather system, ice in GB glaciers is quickly melting, resulting in a higher risk of glacial floods and sudden floods.
“This situation can represent a serious threat to communication roads, bridges, agricultural land and human life and property,” said the alert.
The public and tourists were requested to guarantee their safety and avoid unnecessary trips in extreme or uncertain climatic conditions.
