A local leader of the forbidden religionolitical group Ahle Sunnat Waljamaat (ASWJ) was shot dead while his father was injured in an alleged attack directed in Landhi de Karachi on Sunday night, according to police officers and the party.
Quaidabad Sho Rana Khushi Mohammed said: “The victims were in a store in the Sherpao neighborhood when the armed suspects on a motorcycle came there.”
“One of them landed from the bicycle and opened fire before fleeing from the scene,” said the sho, added that the victims were seriously injured and transported to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center to receive treatment.
“Qari Abdul Rehman was declared dead while his father Gul Rehman was admitted to receive treatment,” said Sho Mohammed.
The officer said it seemed to be a target murder incident.
