“In compliance with the decision of the cabinet taken yesterday, Assam’s police have housed a FIR and the same had been recorded as Cid Ps Case No 05/2025 U/S 48/152/61/197 (1) BNS, 2023 RW SEC13 (1) UA (P) Law against Ali Tauqeer Sheikh and other strangers, “Sarma said in an X publication.

The deputy of Congress Gaurav Gogoi responded in the Bharatiya Janata party, dismissing actions as fun tactics. “The Assam’s government can conduct any investigation, but we know where we are standing,” said the deputy of Congress in the midst of the controversy about his wife’s ‘ISI links’

Sarma said the sheikh had commitments to the Pakistani government and also founded Lead Pakistan, a non -profit organization that focused on climate change. He affirmed that Elizabeth Colburn was associated with Pakistan During his time in Islamabad.
The Assam CM said that several news reports, publications on social networks and other public information had emerged regarding the comments made by Sheikh. “In recent days, multiple news reports, publications on social networks and other information in the public domain with respect to certain comments made by the National Pakistani Ali Tauqeer have emerged to interrupt community harmony in Assam,” Sarma said.
He added that an analysis of the activity of Sheikh’s social networks showed “exhaustive comments on internal affairs and parliamentary affairs of India, which raises serious concerns about his intentions to compromise and damage the interests of India.”
Sarma said the sheikh had “deep roots in the Government of Pakistan and his leadership,” had represented Pakistan in international forums and served in committees formed by Pakistan’s prime minister. “The most detailed examination of public domain information reveals that Ali Sheikh is an influential individual with deep roots in the Pakistan government and its leadership, since it has represented Pakistan in international forums. He has caught the attention of the Assam Cabinet Through public information available.
Gaurav Gogoi had previously said that the accusations of “ISI links” of his wife are being level as the government of the Bharatiya Janata party “is trying to hide his breeding promises made to the people of Assam.”
When calling the comments of the Assam cm as “without foundation, without facts, slanderous,” Gogoi said that the BJP government “has no performance to show.”
“They cannot fulfill any of their promises and to hide their failures, they are embarking on a mischievous, malicious campaign, without foundation, without facts and slander.”
