The Captain of India, Suryakumar Yadav, faces controversy after the Crickt International Council (ICC) recognized comments that he made after the victory in the group stage of the Asia Cup of India about Pakistan on September 14, saying that he is reviewing a complaint filed by the Crick Board of Pakistan (PCB) and can proceed with a formal audience, Hindustan Times reported on Thursday.
The measure occurs after the Pakistan Cricket Board filed an official complaint with the ICC against Yadav for dedicating its September 14 victory over Pakistan to “the families of the victims of Pahalgam’s terrorist attack.”
At least 24 people had been killed in the April attack, which led to a brief military escalation between India and Pakistan, since New Delhi blamed Islamabad for the attack without evidence.
The ICC confirmed that it is reviewing a complaint filed by the Cricket Board of Pakistan (PCB), and a formal hearing can be initiated, according to Hindustan Times.
