New Delhi: Mumbai police held a press conference on Tuesday giving updates on the attack on Bollywood Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed several times in his own home.
Addl CP West, Mumbai Paramjit Dahiya went to the media stating that “sufficient evidence to confirm that they have the right defendant.” On behalf of the police, he also dissipated the rumors that the digital footprints did not coincide with the defendant. The spokesman said: “Any fingerprint was collected from the crime scene, we have not received any official report (CID) of this date.”
Speaking more about the evidence obtained from the residence of Saif Ali Khan, the police said they have “physical, technical and oral, they have the three types of evidence.”
In addition, clarifying certain concerns about the timeline of the attack The ACP said that “the CCTV of the Lilavati hospital shows that the victim was brought to the hospital at 2.47 am”, after being interrogated about the reports that claimed the time of 4.11 am

In another development related to the western Bengal link in the case, Mumbai’s police registered a statement from a woman whose Aadhaar card was used by the suspect to obtain a SIM card. A Mumbai police team visited Western Bengal and obtained statements from two people during his investigation. The first statement was of this woman whose AADHAar card was fraudulently used for the acquisition of SIM cards. Subsequently, they interviewed a member of the suspect family who lives in Western Bengal.
Police investigations revealed that the suspect acquired the Women’s Aadhaar card through the assistance of this relative, which was then used to buy the SIM card.
The violent attack against the actor took place on January 16 at his home in Bandra, during which the assailant demanded RS 1 crore and assaulted both a babysitter and the actor with multiple wounds of a white weapon before escaping. The 54 -year -old artist required immediate surgical intervention at the Lilavati hospital after the attack.
