The head of the Army staff (COA), General Syed also Munir, praised the Armed Forces on Monday, the agencies of application of the law (LEA) and the residents of Khyber Pakhtunkwa for combating terrorism, said the military media wing in a statement.
He made these comments while visiting troops in Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan to spend Eidul Fitr with the officers and troops parked there, said public relations between services (ISPR).
“His commitment and resilience not only ensures our homeland, but also exemplifies his deep love for Pakistan,” said the ISPR.
He also appreciated the performance of the armed forces and reads them together with the people of KP, “who have always challenged the threat of terrorism,” the statement added.
Coas Munir offered Eid sentences and prayed for the stability and lasting prosperity of Pakistan, according to the statement.
During their interaction, the COAS extended the warm greetings of Eidul Fit to the troops, praising their unwavering dedication and their exemplary service to the nation, he continued.
“Recognizing the tireless efforts of the formations, the COA attributed their achievements to the sacrifices of our martyrs and those who are committed towards the greatest cause of peace and stability,” the statement added.
Upon arrival, the Army Chief was warmly received by the commander of the Peshawar Corps, the Declaration of ISPR concluded.
Today early, the Armed Forces had also shared their sincere wishes with the nation on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
The ISPR had transmitted that for the soldiers, the essence of EID was found in the honor of serving their country, often far from home and the cheerful eid meetings.
The Armed Forces extended their prayers by Pakistan and highlighted the “courage and value of our national heroes,” said the ISPR.
Deaths among outlaws exceeded civil and security losses in the first quarter of 2025, the first time this happened during the last 12 years, according to a report by a group of experts.
In its report for the first quarter of 2025, the Center for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) also said that general violence decreased by 13 percent compared to the last quarter of 2024.
Most of the deaths and incidents of violence were recorded in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan, and both represented more than 98 percent of all deaths and incidents of 94 pieces, cumulatively.
Individually, while KP suffered more than 63pc of all deaths related to violence compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, he witnessed a promising reduction in violence of 18 percent.
