The president of the Cricket Board of Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi, said on Saturday that any conversation about sports ties with India will take place on the foot of equality and there would be no more supplication of negotiations.
The suspension of bilateral ties between Pakistan and India has now officially extended beyond Crick to all sports. On Thursday, the Ministry of Sports of India issued a new policy that ends bilateral sports ties with Pakistan, even in neutral places. However, no detention has been announced for its commitment to multilateral tournaments, raiding the way for the long -awaited Cricket’s Cup Asia clash between the two rivals next month.
Last month, the Pakistan Sports Board had asked sports federations in the country to seek approval before participating in sporting events held in India.
Asked about sports ties with India during a press conference in Lahore, Naqvi said: “I think we are very clear that every time the conversations are maintained they will be on equal terms with India and there will be no more beggars for the negotiations. That time has happened and what happens will be on the basis of equality.”
Questioned about the unpleasant performance of the equipment and the need for a renewal in it, the head of PCB assured that the team would exhibit an improvement very soon.
The head of the PCB was also asked about visa problems for sports journalists for the next Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates, which he said that a cell had been established to coordinate the broadcast of visas and that one would need.
Naqvi was also questioned about the composition of the team that saw the notable players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan left out to give way to the new players, to whom he replied: “I don’t even have a role of one percent in the team’s team.”
He said there was a selection team and an advisory agency, adding that everyone sat and reviewed the team team several times for long hours and days.
“I told them that any decision that is made should be about merit and I will support it. Whatever the available lot, we polished it and carry it forward. Our effort is to bring as many new people as possible so that we have more competition in the Cricket and the best people.”
The PCB chief asked people to support the team in the Asia Cup match against India and give up criticizing them, saying that “unnecessary criticisms” the players were demotivated during the tournaments.
He also expressed hope of improvement soon in the National Women’s Squadron.
