The influential influential social networks Andrew Tate and his brother have been accused of several positions of rape, assault and traffic, the United Kingdom prosecutors said Wednesday.
The accusations, which date back between 2012 and 2015, were authorized by the Crown Prosecutor’s Office in January 2024, but have only been revealed now.
The former Kickboxer Tate, 38, faces 10 positions in the United Kingdom that include violation, real body damage, human trafficking and control prostitution related to three women. His brother, Tristan, 36, has been accused of 11 similar positions against a woman.
“A European arrest warrant was issued in England in 2024, and as a result, the Romanian courts ordered extradition to the United Kingdom of Andrew and Tristan Tate,” prosecutors said in a statement.
“However, domestic criminal affairs in Romania must be established first.” Andrew Tate faces legal actions in several countries, including some cases in which he is accused with his brother.
In Romania, the Tate brothers face separated accusations of traffic of minors, sexual relations with a child laundering.
Both men, who have dual British-American nationality, have denied all the charges against them.
Andrew Tate, the decorative figure of the online male movement, traveled to Florida with his brother in February, marking the first time they left Romania since their arrest of 2022.
Romanian prosecutors claim that the brothers and two women established a criminal organization in Romania in 2021 and sexually exploited several victims.
In a separated civil case in the United Kingdom, four British women accused Andrew Tate of rape and coercive control.
Tate moved to Romania years after starting a web cameras business in Britain. He jumped to fame in 2016 when he appeared on the television show “Big Brother” UK reality, but was eliminated after a controversial video emerged.
Then he resorted to social media platforms to promote their often misogynistic and divisive views on how to succeed. Tate is followed by more than 10.7 million people in the social network X, where he shares his angry vision of masculinity already often homophobic and racist positions.
