In a statement, Kidkraft said that the 53411 model plays kitchens “represent a danger of strangulation and suffocation and a risk of serious injuries or death to young children who rise in the counter or drag by the opening in the back of the kitchens of the work.”
“His security is our first priority,” said the toy manufacturer in the statement.
The company declared bankruptcy in May 2024. It is not clear if this is connected to the child’s death in 2023.
Backyard Kids, LLC did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
People who have toy kitchens that stop using them are recommended, eliminate original hooks and communicate with Backyard Kids, LLC to obtain replacement hooks, said the security commission.
