Aleema rejects reports of tense exchange with PTI’s Salman Akram Raja – Pakistan

PTI’s founder’s sister, Imran Khan, Aleema Khanum, rejected on Tuesday the rumors of a tense exchange with PTI secretary, Salman Akram Raja, who allegedly led to her decision to resign.

There seems to be a strip and loosen inside the PTI on whether to participate in the next partial elections for the seats of the National and Provincial Assembly, unemployed after the recent disqualifications of several key legislators. The experts had said Sunrise The political committee of the party, at its meeting on Monday, had a change of opinion after most members voted against the decision to boycott the polls. This contravenes the opinion expressed by Imran, transmitted by Aleema on a couple of occasions, to avoid partial elections so that the party is not seen as legitimizing the process.

PTI’s central information secretary, Sheikh Waqqas Akram, had shared the decision of the party on social networks and caused a wave of criticism from around the world. When he approached him, Akram confirmed that he, slit and some others were against the decision, but they had to go with most. However, in a dramatic turn of events, Raja announced his intention to resign the position of Secretary General. Although he did not specify that he led him to make this decision, the moment of his position X indicated that the “incident” he referred to was, in all likelihood, the decision of the political committee to dispute the roads.

Questioned about reports of a tense exchange with him as the cause of his decision, Aleema said as he talked to the media out of Adiala’s jail today: “I did not have a bitter word exchange with him. He is our lawyer and as a family [member] With all of us, but I think it’s more [a matter] on your own [decision] and that of the political committee. It is a problem [of participation] In the partial choice and you must ask you (Raja).

He pressed the reports of a disagreement at the party about whether playing partial elections or not, Imran’s other sister, Uzma Khanum, intervened and said: “The party will say what conflict was. According to our last family reunion, Khan, Khan, Khan Sahib Very firmly, repeatedly and clearly it is said that they do not challenge the elections, but that there will be no benefit, it will damage the party and the [movement] because real freedom and illegitimate disqualifications would be legitimized. ”

Going to the media later, Aleema said that Imran had ordered PTI legislators to renounce the parliamentary committees and inform him about the decision of the political committee regarding the partial elections of tomorrow morning after holding a meeting later today on the subject based on his instructions.

Meanwhile, Raja said while talking to the media that Imran had not accepted his decision to resign.

He added that the political committee will have a meeting again today to discuss the issue of participating in partial elections based on Imran’s “clear instructions”.

Raja also said that the PTI had a clear position that Omar Ayub and Shibli Faraz remained the opposition leaders in the National Assembly and the Senate, and added that they were still disputing their cases and would meet all the legal requirements.

“If there is a necessity after that, then the name that Imran has repeated today for the leader of Na’s opposition is that of Mehmood Khan Achakzai.”

Raja explained that Imran gave his “clear instructions” about participating in the partial roads after listening to all who are allowed to meet him today, including his sisters.

Meanwhile, the president of the PTI, the lawyer Ali Gohar, said that he had not read the declaration of Raja about resigning as Secretary General, nor had he received any written resignation.

“Imran will decide whether to continue or not. It is unfortunate. I have always said that something of the interior always arises and people make it a problem. Imran said that no party leader would mention his resignation in public.”

The PTI has already obtained stay orders against the elimination of key opposition leaders. It also has nominated replacements, although reluctantly, while the party pursues legal options.

But he faced the threats on multiple fronts, including the possible loss of majority in the assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to future disqualifications, an impulse to claim the political space in Punjab and a confrontation between two opposite fields within the party, it seems that the PTI can throw its hat in the rings, despite all the unfortunates on the bycies. According to the sources aware of the procedures, the meeting of the Political Committee on Monday had voted 12-9 in favor of presenting candidates for the next partial elections.

In addition, Akram had announced that all candidates would receive tickets under the banner of the Sunita Ittehad Council, which seems to be a kind of insurance policy, to compensate for the possibilities of being declared “independent candidates”, since the dispute over the intramolelective elections of PTI and the issue of their electoral symbol are still in the slime.
