Mea said that despite the diplomatic efforts, the Eau Cassation Court confirmed the sentences and the executions were carried out.
“Two Indian citizens, Muhammed Rinash Arangilottu and Muraleedharan Perumthatta Valappil, were convicted of murder positions and delivered death sentences in the EAU. The tallest court of the EAU, the Court of Cassation, confirmed the sentences,” Mea said.
According to the Ministry, the Eau authorities reported Indian embassy On February 28, 2025, that the prayers had been carried out.
“The Embassy provided all possible consular and legal assistance, including sending mercy requests and forgiveness requests to the Eau Government for Indian citizens. The Eau authorities informed the embassy on February 28, 2025 that these two sentences have been carried out,” the ministry said.
The burial of Muhammed Rinash Arangilottu took place today, with family members present to present their last respect and participate in the sentences before the ceremony.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed its condolences to families and reiterated their efforts to provide legal support throughout the case.
“The families of the concerned have been informed. The embassy is in contact with them and facilitating their participation in the last rites. The burial of Muhammed Rinash Arangilottu, an Indian citizen, took place today. The members of their family were also present to pay their last respects and participate in the sentences before their burial”, the XP XP division of the Ministry of External Affairs.
