Abu Dhabi crown prince welcomed with guard of honour in Islamabad as first official visit begins – Pakistan

The heir prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was welcome with an honor guard at the home of the Prime Minister in Islamabad on Thursday when he reached his first official visit to Pakistan.

Pakistan and Eau share close diplomatic, economic and cultural ties. The EAU is one of Pakistan’s largest commercial partners in the Middle East and an important source of remittances, with a large population of Pakistani expatriates who live and work there.

Upon arrival at the home of the Prime Minister, the heir prince of Abu Dhabi received an honor guard for a contingent of the Armed Forces, administered by the State Pakistan radio reported.

The national hymns of both countries were played, while a cultural company that represents the four provinces was also carried out on the occasion.

The heir prince landed today at the Nur Khan Air Base of Rawalpindi when he began his official one -day visit, which focuses on investment and economic cooperation.

He was received by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Vice President Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and the first lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari. Other members of the Cabinet, together with senior diplomatic and government officials, were also present.

Prince Khaled shook his hand to the president, prime minister and vice -first minister while greeted him, while two children wore the traditional dress presented Ramos.

The place was decorated with the Pakistan flags and the United Arab Emirates, while a group of children also welcomed the dignitary stirring the flags of both countries.

The heir prince is accompanied by a high -level delegation, including ministers and senior officials, as well as prominent business leaders.

Pakistan and the EAU are ready to sign several agreements and comprehension memorandes (MOU) during the visit to “Bol [the] Existing robust framework for long -term collaboration in multifaceted sectors, ”according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO).

“These commitments are expected to open new opportunities for joint companies and projects aimed at promoting economic cooperation between countries and their peoples,” he said yesterday.

He added that the heir prince would get involved with Pakistani leadership in matters of mutual interest while reinforcing historical ties and encourages economic and investment cooperation.

“This visit underlines the deeply rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and the EAU and reflects the shared commitment to further strengthen the bilateral economic association,” said Fo.

“Pakistan and the EAU have always enjoyed a relationship characterized by mutual respect, confidence and shared aspirations,” he said.

The FO pointed out that the visit of the heir prince “demonstrated the commitment of both countries to” raise mutual cooperation, reflect the growing association and robust ties of people to people. “

Pakistan and the EAU witnessed a high -level interaction on February 11, when Prime Minister Shehbaz met with President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan in Qasr al Shati in Abu Dhabi. The prime minister was visiting the Gulf country to present the case of Pakistan for climatic finances at the world governments.
