Nueva Delhi: The family members of the deceased SM Khan, a distinguished Indian Information Service officer, met Tuesday with President Droupadi Murmu and transmitted their willingness to start a non -profit organization in their memory. During the meeting, family members informed the president about the establishment of ‘SM Khan Foundation‘, a non -profit organization committed to the progress of education, improve access to medical care and promote community development, according to the statement.

The president extended his deep sympathies to the family and recognized Khan’s contributions to the public service.
He also encouraged and motivated family members for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of such measures to create a positive and lasting impact on society.
“We are deeply moved by the kind’s kind words and the overwhelming affection received from different sections of society,” said Shehnaz Khan, wife of SM Khan.
“The SM Khan Foundation will maintain its values and work tirelessly to create opportunities for disregards, particularly in the fields of education, medical and community development,” he added.
SM Khan died on November 17, 2024 in Delhi after a brief disease.
His death was deeply cried for a wide range of leaders and dignitaries, including prime minister, vice president, union ministers and prominent social leaders.
SM Khan’s career covered more than three decades, during which he held prominent positions in the government of India, including the spokesman for the Central Office of Investigation (CBI), the press secretary of former President Apj Abdul Kalam and the director GENERAL OF DORORSHAN NEWS.
As an author, he wrote a book about Abdul Kalam and also served as dean of Jamia Hamdard University.
He also held the positions of vice president and administrator of the Islamic and Cultural Center of India.
The SM Khan Foundation will officially launch in the coming months, with initial initiatives aimed at empowering communities through educational scholarships, medical aid and social welfare projects.
