NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Six terrorists were killed while two security men embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan district on Sunday, sources said.
Also, the sources added, security forces foiled an attack on a security post in the Khadi area of Mir Ali.
However, the army media did not issue any official statement until the filing of this report on Sunday evening.
Sources said the shooting in Datta Khel took place after militants stormed a post in the area.
They said security personnel responded effectively and in the ensuing clash six militants were killed. However, two staff members also embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists. They said their bodies were flown to the Miramshah headquarters.
