Mark Sánchez, an analyst at Fox Sports and former NFL field marshal, was stabbed in the center of Indianapolis at dawn on Saturday and was then arrested for charges that include battery, according to authorities.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in X that a man was stabbed during a “physical disturbance” between two men around 12:30 am, the person who was stabbed was taken to a hospital and remained in a stable condition, police said.
Later, the police said in an update that Sánchez, 38, was arrested at the hospital for charges of aggression with injuries, illegal entry of a motorized vehicle and public poisoning, which are minor crimes.
The police did not detail exactly what happened during the incident. They said that Sanchez remained hospitalized and has not been imprisoned.
“The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final collection decision,” said the Police Department.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone respect his and her family’s privacy during this time,” said Fox Sports’s statement.
