The president of PPP Sindh, Nisar Khuhro, assaulted on Saturday the comments of the Prime Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, on the issue of contentious channels as a violation of the decision made by the Common Interests Council (CCI).

He said that Nawaz was the leader of the PML-N and should realize his daughter’s comments and clarify the position of the party on the subject.
“Sindh will not allow anyone to take out the water of its Indo River, nor will it allow any dam to be built on the Indo River.
“Constitutionally, the province of Sindh, which is in the end, has the first right to water, and any attack on the participation of Sindh’s water will be considered an attack on the unity of Sindh and the country.”
In addition, he claimed that CM Maryam was “scared of the growing popularity” of the PPP in Punjab, so he opposed the process of relief to the victims of flooding through the Benazir entry support program.
“Punjab is not the fief of any party; the PPP, along with all political parties, has the right to participate in political activities in Punjab.”
Criticizing the efforts of relief and rescue of floods of his administration, he added that his “hollow statements” about their performance are “limited only to television channels” and were “exposed.”
“The victims of Punjab’s flood are still waiting and yearning for help and relief.”
“If the Punjab CM is providing relief and help for flood victims, it must reveal it to the nation,” he said.
