The federal government increased on Monday the high -speed diesel price at RS2.78 per liter for the next fortnight.
A notification of the Finance Division said that the new HSD price was RS272.77 per liter.
Meanwhile, the price of gasoline remained unchanged in RS264.61.
Previously, the Government had maintained the price of no changes without changes, while the HSD price was reduced in RS3 per liter.
Gasoline, mainly used in private cars, small vehicles, rickshaws and motorcycles, directly affects the budgets of average and low income groups.
The majority of the transport sector works with HSD and its price is considered inflationary, since it is mainly used in heavy transport vehicles, trains and agricultural motors such as trucks, buses, tractors, wells and trillators, and particularly adds to the prices of vegetables and other groceries.
