Fire near Sexton Lumber forces some Lethbridge residents to evacuate

According to a statement from RCMP Media, Lethbridge NL, residents of the Bayview area, have been ordered to evacuate immediately due to a fire near Sexton Lumber Sawmill on Route 233.

RCMP and the search and rescue on land are responding in the area.

Route 233 is impassive in both directions to all traffic and RCMP is asking the residents and the motorists who follow the direction of the lifeguards.

The Province Forestry Department and the Local Fire Department are responding.

The search and rescue of Triple Bay Eagles also said in a publication on social networks that are on stage to help with evacuation.

A resident in the area says that two flywheels have been working in the fire this afternoon.
