Govt announces public holiday on Saturday for Eid Miladun Nabi – Pakistan

The Federal Government announced on Tuesday a holiday for September 6 because of Eid–Miladun Nabi.

The notification was issued by the Cabinet division.

Last week, the Central Committee of Ruet-I-Hilal had announced that the Rabiul Awwal moon had not been seen; Therefore, Eid–Miladun Nabi was scheduled to fall next Saturday.

Muslims around the world celebrate the birth of the prophet Muhammad (La Paz is with him), known in Arabic as the Mawlid Al-Nabawi holiday, the 12 of Rabiul Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar.

September 6 is also when the country will mark its 60th defense day to commemorate the sacrifices of the fallen heroes of the 1965 war against India.
