At least one policeman was martyred and three terrorists were killed in a shot incident in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kohat district, police said Saturday.
According to Regional Police officer Kohat Abbas Majeed Marwat, “a policeman was martyred and two others were injured in an operation against terrorists.”
He said: “Three terrorists have been killed and several other injured when the police represent [against terrorists] in the mountains of Darmalak. An operation is being carried out to detain the wounded terrorists, the official added.
“We will not let the sacrifices of our martyrs be in vain and our war against terrorism will continue.”
Today early, a 1122 rescue statement said: “A tragic shot incident in a police vehicle took place near Darmalak police post in Kohat.”
As a result of the shot, a policeman was martyred in the place and two police officers were injured, according to the statement, added that the injured officials were taken to the hospital of the headquarters of the Kohat district.
The recent terrorist attacks have predominantly attacked the police, to the personnel of the law enforcement agencies and the security forces. In response, the State has also intensified its anti -terrorist operations.
Earlier this month, two members of the Federal Police personnel were martyred and another 18 were injured in a terrorist attack in the Hagu district of KP.
On August 14, five police officers were martyred and another eight injured to the left when the militants attacked the police control points in different places of KP, including Peshawar, the top of the board and the lower directory.
Three “searched terrorists” were killed during a joint operation between the Regional Police and the Department of Terrorism in the Bannu district in July.
Pakistan has witnessed an increase in terrorist activities during the past year, especially in KP and Baluchistan, after the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) outlaw (TTP) ended its high fire with the government in November 2022.
