The bones were found near a Mountains Cascade Camp in the middle of human hunt for the 33 -year -old man suspected of killing his three young daughters, FBI said Friday.
The camp near Leavenworth, Washington, is the location of the discovery of the bodies of the three daughters of Travis Decker, Paityn, 9; Evelyn, 8; and Olivia, 5, on June 2.
The bones are being analyzed to determine if they are humans, FBI Seattle spokesman said on Friday.
“We can confirm that some bones were collected as part of the search activity at the beginning of the week around the Rock Island camp,” he said by email.
Earlier this month, the office said the DNA of the plastic bags found in the girls of the girls coincided with that of the father, and no other human DNA was found in addition to those of the girls. The county forensic doctor concluded that the girls died from suffocation and are victims of homicide, said the Sheriff’s office.
After the discovery of their bodies, the local, state and federal authorities launched an extensive human hunt for Decker, fearing to be able to use their military background and their outdoor experience to disappear.
The Decker’s truck was also found near, on land described by the Sheriff’s Office of Chelan County as “resistant and very wooded land”, about 150 miles east of Seattle.
Decker was accused of three first -degree murder positions and first -degree kidnapping and is the object of an arrest warrant.
On May 30, his ex -wife reported that Decker did not return to the girls after a planned visit, authorities said. The report was not enough to trigger an Amber alert, said the Washington state patrol, and noted that a late return is not necessarily a kidnapping and that there was no imminent threat of violence.
The researchers said the reason was not clear. JUDICIAL PRESENTATIONS The Decker State refused to sign a breeding plan almost a year ago that included orders to seek mental health treatment and anger management advice.
On Monday, the Sheriff of Chelan County, Michael L. Morrison, described the search for two days of evidence near the camp in federal lands that began on Monday and attracted approximately 100 police officers, federal agents and agents.
“In the last three months, the research teams led by the investigation unit of the office of their Sheriff have followed all the leaders and have sought in vast remote and remote areas with the hope of locating through Travis Decker or any evidence that can approach the answers,” Morrison said in a statement.
The Sheriff repeated that it is not clear if Decker is alive.
“At this time, conclusive evidence has been found to indicate whether Travis Decker is alive or deceased,” he said. “We continue to follow every credible protagonist.”
