The Federal Government on Friday was a special committee to provide legal assistance to address the problems of the families of missing persons, according to a press release.
The Committee aims to provide legal assistance to those families whose cases are being investigated by the Commission for Investigation on Forced Disappearances (COIOED) in family matters related to the law.
The commission was created in 2011 to track missing persons and fix responsibility in responsible persons or organizations. In the first half of 2025, there were a total of 125 cases of missing persons.
“The families of the missing persons who have a problem, especially in relation to the national database and the registration authority regarding the issuance of the national identity card/form-B for various purposes, can send their complaints, in writing, to the special committee through any way of communication, including email (coioed@gmail.com) or whatsapp (0321-5101070) Copies by email, “the press release.”
He added that families could also visit and meet with the Saadia Rashid of the Saadia Rashid of Islamabad in the Civil Defense building of the General Directorate on any work day for their presentation and discussion on their issues.
On Saturday, the judge of the Supreme Court, Athar Minallah, prepared the difficulties that the judges faced regarding the cases of missing persons and forced disappearances against non -cooperation by the State and the legislators.
The total number of cases received by Coioed until June 2025 was 10,592, while 1,914 cases of them were eliminated and traced 6,786, according to the Commission.
Last year, the Government announced a “support package” of RS5 million per family of missing persons, which would provide legal and financial assistance according to the Minister of Law.
