Google rolls out AI-powered search in Pakistan – Pakistan

Islamabad: Google has launched its new ‘AI’ mode in Pakistan, offering users access to their most advanced search experience.

First introduced in the United States this year, the function is now expanding worldwide, with Pakistan among the last countries to obtain access.

The tool, fed by a personalized version of Gemini 2.5, allows people to ask longer and more complex questions that previously required multiple searches. Available in English, AI mode can be accessed through the Google application in Android and iOS, as well as on the mobile and desktop website.

In a statement, Google said that the first evaluators have shown that consultations are already two or three times longer than traditional searches, highlighting the usefulness of the tool for exploratory tasks, such as comparing products, planning trips or addressing “installing” questions.

“It is deeply immersed to answer multiple questions at the same time, with useful links for greater exploration,” said the company.

Google explained that Pakistani users can use the ‘AI mode’ for different cases of use, including the “trip planning” writing a message about a trip to any place at a particular moment and looking particular area? “

At the same time, the other indications could be related to the education of children, such as the example of a child in the grade 9 who struggles with mathematics. “Can you suggest free online resources in Pakistan to help with algebra and geometry?” And the follow -up message as “Can you recommend interactive applications or YouTube channels for the mathematical practice of grade 9?”

Behind the scene, the AI mode uses a “consultation fan” technique, decomposes the question of a user in subtapic and executing multiple searches simultaneously.

This approach allows Google to get highly relevant content from the entire website, combining it with knowledge graph information and real -time purchasing data for billions of products.

The function is also multimodal, which allows users to interact through text, voice or images. For example, a photo of unknown spices in a local market could be charged with the question: “What are these spices and how can I use them in Pakistani cuisine?” Monitoring questions can be asked in a conversation style, creating a perfect navigation experience.

Google said that AI mode is designed to offer deeper, more intelligent and more complete results, but acknowledged that, as with any early stage, the answers are not always precise.
