Indian Spin Great Ravichandran Ashwin announced on Wednesday his retirement from Indian Premier League and plans to play in other global franchise tournaments.
The 38-year-old, a teacher outside the spinner who left the international Cricket in December during the Indian test tour of Australia, ends like the fifth tallest of Wickt-Tomador in the IPL with 187 chasing leather.
He played for five IPL franchises and won the tournament with Chennai Super Kings in 2010 and 2011, where he also played in this year’s edition.
“They say that each final will have a new beginning,” Ashwin wrote on social networks.
“My time as a IPL Cricket player comes to an end today, but my time as a game explorer in several leagues begins today.”
The Control Board for Crick in India (BCCI) does not allow any current player in the Indian international or domestic cryket to appear in leagues abroad.
The fighter Ashwin finished his career in India with 537 WICKETS in 106 tests at an average of 24.00.
He also played 116 international one day and 65 T20.
