Moscow: Iranian and Russian presidents discussed the Tehran nuclear program on Monday while European powers threaten to reimpose the sanctions to Iran on the 2015 dying agreement.
Great Britain, France and Germany have threatened to trigger a “Snapback mechanism” to reintroduce the sanctions of the UN that rose under the agreement unless they will accept to stop their enrichment of uranium and restore cooperation with the inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (OIEA).
Iran will have conversations with the European trio in Geneva on Tuesday, Iranian state media reported. “On Tuesday, Iran and the three European parties of the 2015 Nuclear Agreement, together with the European Union, will hold a new round of conversations at the level of attached foreign ministers in Geneva,” said state television.
The meeting will be the second since the 12 -day War of Iran with Israel in mid -June, during which the United States carried out attacks against Tehran nuclear facilities. The previous round of conversations was held in Istanbul on July 25.

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, made a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Peeshkian, Kremlin said Monday, in which the couple “touched the situation around Iran’s nuclear program.”
He did not explain what the couple argued.
The Iranian presidency said that fishshkian had thanked Putin for supporting Tehran’s “right to enrichment” and said Iran “was not looking for, and will never seek to build nuclear weapons.”
The two countries have reinforced political, military and economic ties during the Russian military offensive in Ukraine.
Iran has regularly tried to coordinate its position with Russia and China before key nuclear conversations with the United States and Europe during the current confrontation.
Russia’s Kommersant business document reported Monday that Moscow opposed the idea of ”snapback” sanctions.
