The New Scotland government says that several houses have been damaged by the burning of forest fires out of control in Annapolis County.
A press release says that the houses were damaged on Sunday when the forest fire near Long Lake intensified during the afternoon and night due to strong winds. He said the exact number has not been confirmed.

The statement says that residents who were in the first round of evacuations on August 14, the day after the fire began, have been informed that some houses have been damaged. As more information is confirmed, Annapolis County will communicate with residents to inform them the status of their property.
The conditions caused more evacuations on Sunday.
‘Trying to keep everyone quiet’
Dustin Enselow, the attachment of the municipality of the County of Annapolis, said that more than 1,000 people are out of their homes.
“We continue monitoring the situation and we just try to keep everyone alone,” Esslow told CBC Radio MORNING CAPE BRETON INFORMATION Mondays.
It is now estimated that the fire is 7,780 hectares, or approximately 77 square kilometers, more than it doubled since the last estimate during the weekend.
The provincial natural resources department said Sunday that the fire has crossed West Dalhouse Road at several points, Thorne Road crossed and moved to Paradise Lake.
Jim Rudderham, director of fleet and forest protection with natural resources, told journalists on Sunday afternoon that climatic conditions were working against firefighters.
“Everything in the behavior of fire that you do not want to happen is happening today, so we have winds, strong winds, we have no rain, we have high temperatures and low humidity,” Rudderham said.
