Sindh govt orders closure of Karachi schools, colleges after heavy rain – Pakistan


All public and private schools and universities in Karachi will remain closed on Thursday when heavy rains will leave parts of the city flooded, announced the Department of Education of Sindh.

The energy was almost restored throughout the city, and only a few roads had remained flooded after the strong downpour on Tuesday before a heavy rain spell at the end of the afternoon accompanied by stocked winds on Wednesday interrupted the hopes of Karachiites of a rapid return to normal.

The notifications issued by the Departments of University Education and University Education of the Government of Sindh declared today that schools will remain closed tomorrow due to heavy rain.

The Government notified that the closure will be applied to all private and public institutions in the Karachi Division, which are under the administrative control of the College Department of Colleic Education of the Government of Sindh and the Department of School Education and Literacy.
