DNA testing confirms Travis Decker is sole suspect in murder of his three daughters

DNA tests have confirmed that the fugitive father accused of killing his three daughters in a camp in the state of Washington in June is the only desired suspect in relation to the case, authorities said on Tuesday.

Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that the DNA profiles that coincide with those of Travis Decker, 32, were found in the plastic bags that were supposedly used to quell Evelyn, 8, Paityn, 9 and Olivia Decker, 5. The authorities say that Decker should return to the girls to his mother visit.

The three girls were found in the Rock Island camp along the Icicle Creek stream on June 2 with the bags on their heads. The Sheriff’s office said cable ties were found near the bodies. The autopsies carried out in early June found that the cause of death was suffocation as a result of homicide.

The Washington State Crime Laboratory made the DNA connection on August 6, said the Sheriff’s office, by analyzing plastic bags and cable ties. No other DNS profiles were found.

“The completion of this DNA analysis provides additional evidence indicating that Travis Decker is the only suspect involved in the commission of these homicides,” said the statement.

However, the authorities still do not know where Decker is, even if he is alive or dead. State and federal agencies continue attempts to locate it.

The American marshal in Idaho left the search for the forest there last month after a possible sighting turned out to be a false alarm.

The United States Sheriff Service offers a reward of up to $ 20,000 for information that leads to Travis Decker’s arrest.

The Sheriff’s office reiterated a previous warning that the suspect “must be considered armed and dangerous.” Anyone who sees it should call 911, he said.

Any person with information can communicate with the US Marshals Office. A 1-800-336-0102 or USMS Councils.
