Islamabad: Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has urged the Asian and African countries governed by leaders “hungry for power” to adopt the “Mandela” of Peace, Reconciliation and Democratic Transition.
Speaking at the inaugural summit of the African political parties in Ghana, which was attended by more than 200 delegates from more than 40 countries, Mushahid emphasized that the Nelson Mandela approach provides a plan for political stability and inclusive governance.
The senator participated as co -president of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) and the president of Payar, the first group of Pakistan experts focused on Africa, said his office in a statement on Sunday.
Based on his personal interactions with Mandela, Mr. Mushahid said he was convinced that the legacy of the South African leader was rooted in forgiveness, generosity and a negative to be revenge.

“The Mandela model rejects the policy of revenge and victimization, which only catch societies in the past,” he said.
He added that Mandela defended inclusive institutional democracy in dealing with public office as a public trust, and established a historical precedent by voluntarily resigning after the unique elected period as president.
“The majority of Asia and Africa suffer from hungry politicians of power,” Mushahid lamented.
Palestine and Kashmir
He also highlighted Mandela’s unwavering support to the causes of self -determination in Palestine and Kashmir, describing him as a statesman of principles that was stopped by oppressed peoples.
During his visit, the senator met with Ghana’s vice president, Jane Naana, personnel head Julius Debrah and the Vice Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Ebrahim Farah, among other leaders. He also paid tribute to the mausoleum of Ghana’s first president, Kwame Nkrumah, whom he cheered as a pioneer of the Pan -African unit and non -alignment.
In Accra, Mushahid went to a meeting of the Day of Pakistan, interacted with the groups of African experts, the media and the business leaders, and expressed the hope of the strongest ties of Pakistan-Africa in diplomacy, trade, investment, education, IT and cooperation in miners and critical minerals.
