Karachi: A judicial magistrate was informed on Monday that a reserved and arrested dumper driver for killing two brothers in an accident in Rashid Minhas Road a day before did not have a heavy transport vehicle license (HTV).
The investigating officer of the case brought the suspect against Judicial Judge (Central) Farman Ali Tager and sought custody for 14 days to interrogate.
He informed the court that, according to the initial consultation, the suspect did not have a license to drive a heavy vehicle. He said he only had the license to drive light transport vehicles (LTV) and that he had also expired in 2016.
The IO requested more time to obtain information about The Dumper owner, involved in the accident, as well as the need to verify the suspect documents.
After listening to the IO, the court sent it in police custody for two days and ordered him to present a progress report at the next hearing.
