A search for two suspects accused of assaulting and filming a teenager in the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being looking for, the police said Thursday.
The Mardan police spokesman Muhammad Faheem Khan said that the force had taken quick measures and launched a search operation to arrest the suspects.
“The suspects stripped the boy, hit him with sticks and filmed the assault before making the video viral on social networks,” Faheem said.
Citing the police officer of the Zahoor Babar Afidi district, the spokesman said he reacted strongly to the incident and said that “no powerful person can point to the weak or poor class, the law is the same for all.”
He said that the district police took an immediate notice of the incident and ordered the Hoti police to take strict measures against the culprits.
According to Faheem, the Officer of the Hoti Police Station, Riaz Khan, ordered immediate measures and registered a case against two residents of Gali Bagh, Misri Abad Road.
