The body of a missing teenager was recovered from a drain near Punjab Rawat on Wednesday, according to the police.
The Kahuta Police Station Officer (Sho) Zakaullah Shah said Dawn.com: “Sania Bibi, fifteen, daughter of Muhammad Waris, resident of the city of Kahuta, had disappeared from her home the day before, while her body was found in Lang Nullah in the Rawat area on Wednesday morning.”
Shah said his body was transported to the Kahuta Tehsil’s headquarters for a postmortem to determine the cause of his death.
The Sho also added that his family had told the police that he was mentally ill and left his house barefoot.
“They were looking for her and she probably jumped into the ravine. Her body was recovered at miles in Rawat’s area, on the edge of Nullah,” said the sho.
The official added that all aspects of his death would be investigated after receiving postmortem reports.
Last month, the main suspect in the case of murder of Arshman Akhtar was killed in an alleged meeting with the police.
Arshman Akhtar’s body, four years old, was found in a pond in Rawat in November last year after disappearing from a wedding.
Also in July, a man allegedly shot his 16 -year -old daughter for his refusal to eliminate his Tiktok account on the limits of the Rawat Police Station.
