A male model with a history of alleged domestic violence towards her husband was prosecuted for charges of robbery and contempt to the court during the weekend, accused of violating an order of protection in Harlem’s house when her partner was found dead.
Jacob Zieben-Hood was found dead around 4 in the morning on Friday, collapsed on a bathroom with multiple white weapon wounds throughout his body, prosecutors said when accusing documents.
The 34 -year -old personal coach had a head injury and several injuries on the back of his leg, a deep enough to penetrate the muscle, according to officials. A forensic doctor has not yet determined his cause of death.
Police found the man in his Harlem apartment at West 138th Street after her husband, Donald Zieben-Hood, called 911. Donald told the operator that she found her dead husband in the bathroom and worried that she could be arrested for violating a protection order, prosecutors said. Donald said he had been injured and needed medical attention.
Prosecutors said Jacob had a protection order against her husband since the end of last year. Donald was ordered to stay away and refrain from communicating with Jacob, an order that has supposedly broken several times.
When the police arrived at Donald sitting on the couch inside the apartment, he allegedly told the officers that Jacob had attacked him with a knife. The authorities said Donald had three cuts in his arms that needed suture points.
The prosecutors, however, claim that Jacob had called his father earlier at night, claiming that Donald was chasing him with a knife and refusing to let him out of the apartment. His father said he could listen to Donald at the bottom of the call, shouting Jacob and calling him names.
Donald was prosecuted on Sunday for charges of robbery, criminal contempt and possession of weapons. She has not been accused of the death of her husband, but officials are investigating the case as a homicide.
The authorities said the couple has a history of domestic abuse dating from 2022.
In June, Donald was accused of breaking the protection order when he threatened Jacob with a kitchen knife and threatened to hurt him, prosecutors alleged. He was raised for threatened charges and criminal contempt at that time.
And in February, prosecutors accused Donald of strangulation, among a long list of other positions, for allegedly attacking Jacob inside the Harlem apartment.
A public defender who represents Donald would not comment on the charges when he contacted by email on Monday.
