Mardan police arrest four in teenage girl viral video case – Pakistan

The police in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Milden arrested four people on Monday in a case that involved a viral video in which the suspects were involved in the harassment of a teenager.

The action was taken on the instructions of KP’s Prime Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, after journalists highlighted the incident.

“A young woman had gone viral in Tiktok in which the girl was being harassed by men while danced in a private event,” said Mardan police spokesman Muhammad Faheem Khan.

He added that the Mardan police took quick measures and arrested four people.

“The men physically harassed the victim, that their relatives used to send to private parties.”

The police spokesman said that after the video went viral on Tiktok, journalists, including Asad Ali Toor, raised the problem with KP’s prime minister, who later ordered the police officer of the Mardan district (DPO) Zahoor Babar Afridi to take measures.

“The girl’s grandmother and nearby relatives are among the arrested people, who used to send the teenager to private dance events for money.”

Khan said that a first information report has been submitted at the City Police Station and that an additional invention on the case is underway.

Separately, Dpo Afridi asked citizens in a statement to watch their children and protect them from getting involved in such immoral activities.

“The public must report incidents such as the exploitation of children and abuse to the police,” said the statement.
