The billionaire businessman Frank Stronach, who is waiting for the trial for more than a dozen positions related to sexual aggression, now also faces a civil lawsuit from a woman who alleges who sexually assaulted her decades ago when she was a student sponsored by Magna, the self -speaking company she founded.
In a claim statement filed in June, Jane Boon alleges that Stronach sexually assaulted her in a company’s guest house in December 1986 after doing it with alcohol during a corporate party in a Toronto restaurant she owned.
He also alleges that Magna knew Stronach, who was the company’s shareholder and controller director at that time, represented a risk for students who received sponsorship and did not take measures to warn or protect her or others like her.
The accusations have not been tested in the Court and neither Stronach nor Magna have submitted a declaration of defense at this time.
Stronach’s civil lawyer, Sarit Banner, says that “he strongly denies the accusations and will strongly defend this lawsuit.” Magna declined to comment, citing the ongoing legal claim.
